The Gatherer
A  coast salish woman who is wrapped in a  creamy white salish blanket. She leans ever so slightly forward, & carries a  basket on her back.  The basket on her back has an hole inside so that you can put sweet grass in it.  It is to burn incense.  The Gatherer represents strong women who not only bear children, but work hard to provide for the family. She gathers food, cedar strips and wood. She is the matriarch of the tribe who gathers and shares traditions, knowledge & wisdom, pressing onward & forward, it is a  labor of love for her family & tribe.
